Near them were found other Roman The village of Hinxworth lies a little more than a mile to the east of the Roman road, with which it is connected by roads leading north-west and south- west, the former being continued on to Ash well. The church3 and rectory stand on the south-east of the angle formed by the road to Ashwell and that leading south-west to the Roman road, and the small village lies a little to the north-west of the church.
