A male Hill Blue Flycatcher (Cyornis whitei) perched on a small branch in a bamboo forest in North East Thailand


The Hill Blue Flycatcher (Cyornis whitei) is a species of bird in the family Muscicapidae. It is found in southern China and Southeast Asia. It is a medium-sized flycatcher and the male is blue, orange and white, while the is female brownish with rufous rump. It is found mostly in dense and moist primary and secondary broadleaf forests, often in ravines and bamboo thickets.
