Marines and sailors are seen loading equipment used by the 1st Light Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion onto a ship at a Da Nang pier. The battalion, previously stationed in Vietnam, has been reassigned to Marine Corps Base, 29 Palms, Calif. Their primary role in Vietnam was defending Ba Nang Air Base from enemy aircraft attacks.
