He wasborn September 13, 1835, ^d has therefore passed the eighty-second milestoneon fifes journey. His parents were Israel and Mary (Lord) Ingalls, both nativesof Maine, where they were reared and married. Subsequently they removed toOhio, settling near Dayton, where they resided for several years. Eventuallythey became residents of Bond county, Illinois, and the father died in , two months prior to the birth of his son, Theodore, his death being one. ?re.
