English: A hay barge off Greenwich A swim-head Thames barge loaded with hay lies close to the artist's viewpoint off the Isle of Dogs towards Deptford, with what may be a brig behind and Greenwich Hospital across the river on the right. In front of the Hospital are two men in a rowing boat and a raft of floating masts. Thames views were a speciality of George Chambers junior and the presence of a passenger steamer on the right suggests this was drawn after Greenwich acquired a steam pier in 1836.
