Pale tussock moth caterpillar (Calliteara pudibunda) bright green black bands between segments yellow tufts on top front and single red tuft at rear

This pale tussock caterpillar was found walking accross a path heading for a road. I had difficulty picking it up as it was firmly stuck to the path by strong sucker feet. i got it to walk onto a leaf and released it on to a hedge over the road so it would not be run over or trod on. I only had my phone to take this image with at the time.
