Not often seen clearly in daylight this female Fiery-necked Nightjar convieniently landed on the dirt road after being flushed from thich cover. A family difficult to identify and the amount of white in wing and tail is often need to to seen when the bird is in flight. But their calls are diagnostic and the Fiery-necked has a repetative rolling call likened to a distant generator.
