A German wheel-lock rifle,circa 1650. Octagonal barrel(a replacement)with eight-groove rifled bore in 15 mm calibre,with a later iron cut and signature "PAUL RIKUS". The sights missing. Chiselled wheellock with rocaille-shaped engravings(engraving from the 18th century,some parts of the mechanics replaced,the trigger bar missing),lock with an external wheel. The lockplate with Latin inscription "NE PERAT CIVIS". Walnut full stock with engraved and blackened,partly replaced lavish bone inlays. Later,iron trigger guard and wooden ramrod.
