The War Memorial at Picton, Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand. The monument was erected to commemorate WW1 in 1925 in honour of the men from the area who died in the war. Many of the ANZAC casualties were in the Galipoli Campaign, an ill fated venture against the Turks. 31 soldiers from the area died in the first World War and 12 during the second.
