Old castle Ratzenried in Germany, Argenbühl, Allgaeu, Baden-Wuerttemberg

In 1453 the castle belonging to the monastery in Switzerland became privately owned. Until the 19th century it belonged to various aristocratic and merchant families. It was extensively renovated around 1845. Since 1977 it has been the seat of the Humboldt Institute, which offers courses in "German as a Foreign Language".
