10/05/16 Britain’s biggest cactus grower attributes the recent hot weather for his current winning streak at national flower shows, something he hopes to repeat later this month at RHS Chelsea. Full story here: .But a few days ago it was almost too hot for his prickly blooms and he had to pump in cooler air from outside to cool down his giant 22,000 sq ft greenhouse. And now, as you enter the greenhouse, you’re met with a brilliant display of colour, almost every cactus is in full bloom, a patchwork of bright yellow and orange, subtle pinks and deep red flowers. “There’s probably about one hundred thousand plants in here, and most of them are already showing flowers,” said owner Bryan Goody, who runs the nursery with his wife Linda and daughter Eleanor.
