Rally-raid Baha "Belarus" - the 4th stage of the Championship of Russia on rally raids, the 2nd stage of the Championship of Belarus on rally raids. A rally raid - the type of motor races on long distances on a cross-country terrain passing within several days. Participants rally: the MAZ sports trucks (of a rally raid participated in the world - Dakar), powerful sports SUVs and other various cars. Race took place on August 22-23, 2014 on the former military ground "Dretun" of the Polotsk distrikt. To participants of competitions passed four circular special stages about 110 kilometers long everyone along a route: Дретунь – Polota – Zatrostenye – Krugliki – Zapolye – Honyaki – Zbrodovichi – Domniki – Kotlyana – Lusoe – Mr. Podsosna – Trydu – Nedruznoe – Dretun. Coastal sandstones, flood plains of the rivers, ravines, forest impassable roads and smooth high-speed sites for professionals of motorsport. "Baha" — is a rally raid with the general extent of route up to 1200 kilometers and lasting not more than five days. The rally raid first in the history passed in the southern part of the peninsula California, near the American-Mexican border. This district in America call "Bach". From there also the name of a rally raid went. The maximum speed of pilots of teams on race from 150 to 165 km/h. For cars the route was difficult. SUVs and trucks broke. "Dretun" ground - in compliance with the resolution SNK BSSR of April 10, 1925 "About allotment of land under the district ground and camp of troops of the Western Military District" land management works on delimitation of the artillery ground and Soviet Belarus camp were carried out from April 1 to October 1, 1925. After WW II on the ground "Dretun" of artillery and tank troops were staged. The last military maneuvers were in 2003. Now the ground is closed.
