A seedling. of Bubach, pollenized by Lady Thompson. Itstands drought and hot sun better than anyother variety. Foliage dark green, free fromrust and looms up like a giant. Its root sys-tem is very large, sending out large fibrousroots to a great distance. Berries large tovery large, crimson color all over, of fineflavor. Fruit stalks long and berries held upfrom the dirt, very prolific and a good plantmaker. Season of ripening as early as LadyThompson. Its firmness commends it to thecommercial grower, and its fine flavor placesit in the front rank as a table berry. ; 100, 50c; 1000, $ Gandy.—Introduced by me in 1888 and nowmore largely grown than any other variety.
