A German luxury powder flask, circa 1620 Ebony body and chute with finely inlaid white bone trim lines. Fire-gilded, open-worked brass mounting. On front side portrayal of a mounted soldier with sword in between trophy décor. On reverse side iron carrying clasp with open-worked sheet brass. Five strap lugs with original red, carrying strap interwoven with gold, and five attached tassels.
