Kuching, Malaysia - October 12, 2018: The Tua Pek Kong Temple - literally translated as “Great Grand Uncle” - Chinese temple stands on a small hillock overlooking the Kuching Waterfront and the Sarawak River. The temple is one of the few buildings that survived the 1884 Great Fire of Kuching. The location was chosen based on the ancient Chinese tradition of Feng Shui. The temple is believed to date back to 1843 with official records dating it to at least 1876.
