On September 5 they all gathered at IlliniGrove for a picnic, to which the faculty was also in-vited. A potluck supper and games were followed bya group sing around

WELCOME NEW STUDENTS The orientation program this year was especiallysuccessful in introducing new students to UniversityHigh School. Orientation Committee began work lastspring to plan this years events. During the summereach new student met with his big brother or bigsister. On September 5 they all gathered at IlliniGrove for a picnic, to which the faculty was also in-vited. A potluck supper and games were followed bya group sing around a bonfire. The Committee alsosponsored school tours designed to familiarize new stu-dents with the building, and an Activities Assembly atwhich Unis various organizations were presented tonew students by means of skits. New students came from far and near: Joel Otieno from Africa, and Dan Farmer from Urbana.
