Non Exclusive: KYIV, UKRAINE - JANUARY 29, 2021 - A priest is pictured before the memorial cross to the Kruty Heroes in Askold's Grave Park on the Kruty Heroes Remembrance Day, Kyiv, capital of Ukraine. On this day, the country pays tribute to almost 400 soldiers of the Ukrainian People's Republic, mostly students, who sacrificed their lives to stop the advance of the Bolshevik Red Army forces of about 4,000 men commanded by Mikhail Muravyov near the Kruty railway station, 130 kilometres north-east of Kyiv, on January 29, 1918.
