Tree vigorous and hardy. August. Red June. Recommended as "by all odds the best Japanese plum, ripening before Abun- ; One of the vigorous, upright growers; productive; fair size; vermilion-red; pleasant quality. Last of July. -Satsuma. Large, roundish-oval with a short, blunt point; dark red, specked with greenish dots; flesh very firm, blood-red, rather coarse but good. A good canning plum. August. AVickson. Large, heart-shaped, deep maroon- red; flesh very firm, yellow, sub-acid, rich and good; a good shipping plum; tree upright, but in some localities this variety is a shy bearer. Early September. Native Plums Surprise. Fruit large to very large; skin me- dium-thick, tender; bright-red; flesh pale- yellow, meaty and of fine flavor; quality extra good. Tree an upright, vigorous, healthy grower. Splendid variety for either home or commercial culture. Last of August. AVild Goose. Fruit medium, red with blue bloom; flesh juicy and sweet. July.
