The grave of American expatriate at the CWGC Zantvoorde Military cemetery in West Flanders near the Belgium city of Ypres who returned home to fight
The CWGC military cemetery at Zantvoorde on the Belgium Salient, sadly of the 1584 burials, 1135 remain unknown. The cemery contains Victoria Cross holders James Brooke and Louis McGugffie plus two men who returned from America to enlist and one RAF airman who was shot down during WWII. The cemetery remained in German hands until September 1918
