Thamnocalamus Falconeri. — This Bamboo(commonly known as Arundlnarla falcata) floweredwith me some four or five years ago, as it did atthe same time with all the specimens I am awareof all over Europe. My plants were grown inlarge pots, but flowered and ripened their seeds inthe open air ; even the tiniest shoots were loaded withthem. They germinated very well, which was verylucky, because I could not save the least bit of theoriginal plants after their seeding. They made feebleattempts at leaking young shoots, which died afterlingering a year or two from sheer exhaustion. Myseedlings have grown into fine plants again.
