Aside from whatever practical interest these resultsmay have, the facts are important in showing that sucha thing as a factor for fertility itself may be present,without otherwise being apparent, and that this factor 214 HEREDITY AND SEX taken in connection with another (or others) gives highproductivity. The other point to which I wish to call attentionrelates to a different matter. We have met with somecases where lowered fertility was due to eggs failing. \
