MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA, Ariz. – Lance Cpls. Bryce Rhodes (left) and Paul Paddock, assaultmen with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, provide security from a fighting position during a defensive exercise here, Oct. 15, 2013. The Marines concealed their fighting positions with camouflage netting and vegetation to blend into their surroundings. The battalion conducted a three-day defense to practice developing proper fields of fire, establishing fighting positions and challenging Marines’ ability to operate while sleep deprived.
