Switzerland. Travel by Train in Switzerland. The Matterhorn-Gotthard bahn train running north above the Reuss River towards Altdorf after crossing above the Devil's Bridge, the Teufelsbrucke, in the Schollenen Gorge where the the Russian General Suworow faught in 1799. The train runs alongside the mountain road to Andermatt in the Uri region, the road then rises over the St Gotthard Pass.
