A flintlock pistol, by Jean Jacques Lecomte, Paris, circa 1780. Smooth, reblued barrel in 14 mm calibre with a centre rib. Smooth flintlock with lockplate signed, "P LECOMTE". Lightly carved walnut full stock with brass furniture. The cipher "CA" is engraved on the escutcheon. The (somewhat restored) side plate is marked "Schomberg-Dragons". Wooden ramrod. Length cm.
