Cell culture research. Pipette being used to add cultured cells (pink liquid) to a microchip that is connected to an electrical circuit with crocodile clips. The pink liquid is a nutrient medium in which cells can be grown. These cells are being used in experiments to investigate interactions between implantable electronic devices and the human body. Photographed at an INEX facility. INEX is a British microsystems and nanotechnology company that was founded in 2002. One of its research areas is bio-hybrid systems.
