Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain. 5th January, 2017. Thousands of children and parents line the dockside for the traditional arrival (by boat) of Los Reyes Magos (The Three Kings) who, like Santa Claus in many countries, deliver presents in Spain; not on the 25th Dec but on the eve of the 5/6th January. Children in Spain do receive some presents on Christmas Day, but traditionally presents are opened on the morning of the 6th January; El dia de Los Reyes Magos (three kings day), the day the three kings, or wise men, left presents for baby Jesus.
