A provincial Roman silver tetrarch bust, circa 300 AD Three-dimensionally chased bust made from sheet silver with punched decoration, the lower rim with two assembly holes. Two circlets (torques) around the neck, one of them made from bronze, the other from gilt silver. Scattered imperfections. Height cm, weight 112 g. During Diocletian's reign, torques were often worn as a sign of military distinction.
