The quadrant is provided with a finished rolling surfaceand teeth that engage in a rack and roll in a slot on the bottom slewing, the bottom plate is provided with four rollers that rollon a beveled flange on the post plate. There are two different compensating devices. The first isobtained by the use of two parallel links pivoted at one end nearthe top of the jib, and at the other end holding two sheaves overwhich the hoisting ropes run.
