A great improvement on the old Boston Market or Tennis Ball Lettuce, originated and perfected by Messrs. Hittinger Brothers of Belmont, jNIass., exten- sive growers of lettuce under glass. It is larger in size than the old varieties, with well formed heads of remarkably crisp and tender quality, most desirable for forcing. Per oz. 20 cts.; i lb. 60 cts.; lb. § Mushroom Spa-nrn. This variety is also an improvement on the Boston Market which it resembles in color, shape and gen- eral appearance but is double the size. It is about one week later in maturing, but its solidity and greater size of head will make it a most valuable sort. A grand variety for forcing or open ground. The leading variety of White Onion, extensively grown for pickling, very early and mild flavored, it pro- duces fine onions from seed. Per oz. 30 cts.; | lb. $ ; per lb. ; 5 lbs. $ Pliilaclelpliia Yellow Strasbnrg- or Dutch. This variety is largely grown for sets. It is a good keeper and well flavored, bright straw colored skin.
