An extremely vigorous growing, very free-flowering Rose of the duatone Pernetiana type. The splendidly-formed buds are of an entrancing new color, the ex- terior of the petals heavily veined with rose d'or and shaded orange-cadmium, the interior a deep chrome-yellow on the lower half passes to a warm rich rosy-salmon. See colored illustration on page 139. each. Norman Lambert. A distinct color combination that is novel. The outside of the petals is a deep chrome- yellow with a marginal color effect of brilliant orange- scarlet merging to an irregular zone of burnt orange, the inside salmon-orange suffused bronze, shading to yellow at the base. One of the finest Roses of the past season's introduc- tion. Its splendid long pointed buds are of a deep scarlet- carmine opening to large fragrant double perfect blooms that shade from orange at the base of the petals to rich carmine at the edges.
