A housing protest hosted by First Not Second Homes in Truro, Cornwall as the area faces issues with housing, second homes and Air Bnbs.
The Housebox brought by FNSH describes the housing issues presented by the group: the damaging of coastal communities from second homes/ airbns being left empty for most of the year and the lack of revenue they dont bring in compared to normal houses: some places such as Porthleven are said to have 9% second homes & 141 advertised Airbnbs but zero rentals for locals. This Housebox later fell into the river due to the wind and was unusable for the local who wanted it: a fitting representation of the housing issue in Cornwall.
