The Dongria Kondh are one of the large number of tribal minority groups living in the Eastern Ghats of Orissa in India. The religion of the Orissan tribes is an admixture of animism, animalism, nature-worship, fetishism, shamanism, anthropomorphism and ancestor worship Women wear traditional jewelry and a massive number of modern hairclips ! They "powerwalk" barefooted distances of 25 -30 kilometres each way to their weekly tribal makets often carrying produce on their heads and a baby on their hip.
