The last official finisher of the Marine Corps Marathon is presented the Penguin Award, Oct. 30, 2016. The award is presented by Dr. Re McClung in honor of her daughter Maj. Megan McClung, who was killed in action in 2006 during the Iraq War. The award was created for the Marine Corps Marathon to honor Megan’s legacy. ( Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
