The greenhouse heating equipment advertised in this paper is, we believe, the best for the trade to buy, and each article the best in the special field of its adaptation. A WEST VIRGINIA ROSE HOUSE. If I should build a rose house 35 x 110 and eight feet high to the eaves, to be heated by steam with natural gas as fuel, how should I pipe the house? The coldest weather we ever had here was 5 degrees below zero. We expect to plant roses that are grafted on Manetti. J. W. A. The following suggestions are made for the heating of a rose house, 35 x 110, with steam: Run a 21/^-inch main through the house about two feet below the ridge, and at the end of the house farthest from the boiler connect it to fourteen 1^-inch returns. The returns should be arranged in about five coils, two of which, each containing four pipes, should be on the walls, while the rest of the returns should be in three coils of two pipes each, placed under the benches. CANNOT KEEP UP TEMPERATURE. 1 am having trouble with my boiler and do not quite understand the reason for the difficulty. Please give me a little advice. There seems to be enough piping in the greenhouses, but I cannot get the water above 140 degrees, and when I close the drafts a little the tem- perature of the water drops fast. Do you think the boiler is too small, or is the trouble due to the chimney! I have a Moninger hot water boiler, rated for 3,700 square feet, with a
