The image shows a female Cheetah (acinonyx jubatus) moving two of her four cubs due to the presence of a Leopard in the area. Although Namibia has the highest Cheetah population globally their numbers are low in Etosha National Park due to high predator competition, this notwithstanding the fact that the park is 22 270 square km in size. The species is classified as Vulnerable by the IUCN. Photographed in Etosha National Park, Namibia, Southern Africa.
