The verdant hills about it are broke by the full-grown woods, through which appear various domeftic fcenes, and, in a rich di fiance,the Metropolis and River in a moft ftriking point of view. The woods afford abeautiful variety : but Lord Mansfield has, at great expence, adorned them withvarious pieces of water, which, from the houfe, has the appearance of an extenfivelake.
