These photos were taken from HMS Endurance during it's regular annual Antarctic hydrographic survey between late1972 and early 1973 the aerial shots were taken from the ships S-55 Whirlwind helicopter at heights of up to 14,000 feet some of the shots show HMS Endurance from this height but the ship is barely discernible
