Capable of performing Aids to Navigation, Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, National Defense and Marine Environmental protection, the Sequoia made a 15,000-nautical mile voyage from its launching in Lake Michigan to its permanent home port of Apra Harbor in the territory of Guam.
