No decisive answer being re-turned by his visitors, West, after a fewdays, paid Coke a visit at his the discussion they had, Coke ad-mitted that a connecting of the episcopalsuccession would be more satisfactorythan the innovation they contemplated,but he intimated at. the same time thatthings had already gone too lar to thinkof changing. And so the two ecclesi-astical movements drifted apart.
