This is a small mountain stream that runs along the B5289 at the Honister Pass, joining Buttermere Lake to Seatoller and Gatesgarth. Honister Slate Mine sits in the top of these mountains, with the Honister pass running past it, making the road the highest in the area at 1167 feet, with gradients reaching 1/4 or 25%.
