Jesus Cisneros Jr., the range safety officer and the platoon sergeant with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Amphibious Reconnaissance Platoon observes and records scores during pistol qualification aboard the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), underway in the East China Sea, Oct. 15, 2018. Cisneros, a native of Lake Station, Indiana, graduated River Forest High School. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible force ready to perform a wide range of military operations.
