London Southend Airport, Essex, UK. 27th May, 2021. Following the closure of easyJet's base at Southend in summer 2020 and the cancellation of Ryanair's flights after the last service operated on 8th Jan this year the Essex airport has been devoid of passenger flights, seriously impacting it financially. Today two Ryanair Boeing 737 jets have landed ready for the resumption of services after the COVID 19 lifting of travel restrictions. The first departure is planned to be the 06:35 to Alicante, Spain, on 28th May. The second plane is pictured landing
