Dragonfly metamorphosis. Adult dragonflies on plant stems after emerging from the nypmh stage. Their discarded exoskeletons are adjacent to them. After metamorphosis, the adult rests on a plant stem and pumps blood into its wings and fills its abdomen with air. As the cuticle drys it hardens.
