This is placed on a narrow but tall pedestal, which stands on the left corner of the broad. The saint bends forward slightly to the left, while his left foot protrudes briefly over the edge of the pedestal. He holds with his left hand the chalice, the cuppa of which he forges with the hammer, over the anvil.
