The altarpiece in Corpus Christi (Old Main Synagogue), Segovia, Spain, 2007. Artist: Samuel Magal
The altarpiece in Corpus Christi (Old Main Synagogue), Segovia, Spain, 2007. Corpus Christi was the Old Main Synagogue of Segovia until 1419, when it was confiscated by the Crown after a supposed desecration of the Eucharist. As a result, the synagogue was transformed into the church of Santa Maria de Parreces and, in 1572, a convent.
