A British tourist is displaying wounds he received after a violent attack by a Cambodian youth in Kampong Cham, Cambodia.

A British tourist, Martin Hicks, was severely beaten at the Mekong River while taking pictures and riding a rented bicycle. The bike as well as his money and British passport were stolen after he was smashed in the face and body with a large rock by a Cambodian youth. After the assault, Hicks was unconscious for nearly 3 hours before walking across the Japanese Friendship Bridge to Kampong Cham town. He sought medical treatment in Phnom Penh before returning to England a few days later.
