The company has secured a contract to light and heatthe county court house and jails, having demonstrated to thesatisfaction of the city authorities that they could furnish thenecessary light and heat for three years at $1,100 less than it wouldcost the county to do it from their own plant, by comparison withtheir own figures. Since then the firm has made arrangementsto act as agents of the St. Louis Car Company for the sale of itscars.
