Closely allied to the last species, this gazelle (the ravine-deer of manyAnglo-Indian sportsmen) is characterised by the absence of in-turningof the tips of the horns, the restriction of the white on the rump tothe back and inner sides of the thighs, so that it does not reach theroot of the tail: the height at the shoulder varies from 25 to 26inches, and the general colour of the upper-parts is dull fawn.
