Ptolemaic Egyptian tomb canopic funerary box, 305-31 BC. Ptolemy Period. Kunsthistorisches Muesum Vienna AS 806. Painted wood, H 50,2 cm, W 21,8 cm. The box has the shape of a chapel. On the front is in the lower half is depicted a palace façade painted with double-leaf door. In upper field sit two falcons and a sun symbol hovers above them. They are a late Variants of the two lions guarding. A falcon ( 967) is placed on the canopic box. However, the two objects do not belong together.
