ALBANY, – Members of the Capital Region Patriot Guard Riders render honors during the homecoming of New York Army National Guard Soldiers Jan. 8 at Albany International Airport. Some 200 Soldiers arrived in two flights across the state from the 427th Brigade Support Battalion’s Headquarters Company and Company B following demobilization at Camp Shelby, Miss. The Soldiers served in Kuwait or Afghanistan as part of the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team’s overseas service in 2012. Patriot Guard Riders have been an enduring presence for military events and ceremonies across the region.
